Support

Get help with your account, billing, the household, reading mode and troubleshooting - or reach a real person.

Getting started

Create a parent account, add a child profile, then type or speak a short idea (about ten words). Amber's App builds a personalised 10-page illustrated story. Open any story to listen, practise each word, and read it aloud.

Household & parents

How do I add the second parent?

The account owner opens household settings, enters the second parent's email, and sends a secure invite. The invited parent creates their own login and joins the household. Invites are single-use and expire after 7 days.

Can we share one login?

No - and you don't need to. Each parent has their own secure login and shares the same library and credits. This keeps notifications and access correct for each person.

Credits & billing

How are credits used?

Each story uses one credit from your shared household pool. Monthly credits are used first, then any extra purchased credits, which don't expire while you're subscribed.

Where do I manage billing or cancel?

Subscriptions are billed through your device's app store. Manage renewal, payment method or cancellation from your device subscription settings. See our billing terms.

Reading & audio

The story won't read aloud

Make sure your device isn't muted and the volume is up. Narration uses your device's built-in speech; if you switch languages, the voice follows the selected language where supported.

Pronunciation practice isn't hearing my child

Allow microphone access when prompted, use a quiet room, and hold the device a comfortable distance away. You can tap "Hear word" first so your child knows the target word.

Privacy & deletion

You can delete any photo, recording, story or child profile from the app at any time. To delete your entire household account, use Settings → Delete household account in the app (owner only), or follow Delete your account. You can also email privacy@ambersapp.com. See our Privacy Policy.

Troubleshooting

  • A story failed to generate: the creator gets a notification; simply try again - a failed attempt doesn't waste a credit.
  • Not receiving notifications: check per-device notification settings; each parent controls their own alerts on each device.
  • App feels slow or won't load: update to the latest version and restart the app.
  • Still stuck? Email support@ambersapp.com with your device type and app version.
