What exactly does Amber's App do?
Your child gives a short idea - typed or spoken. Amber's App turns it into a personalised 10-page illustrated story starring them, then guides them to listen, practise each word, and read the whole story aloud with confidence.
How much does it cost?
The Amber's Family Plan is $9.99/month and includes 5 stories per calendar month, 2 adult accounts and up to 5 child profiles. A subscription is required to create stories. Subscribers can buy 5 extra story credits for $10 any time; purchased credits never expire while you stay subscribed.
Can both parents use one subscription?
Yes. One household covers two adults. Each parent gets their own secure login - you never share a password. Both share the same story library and the same pool of credits, and both can manage the children.
How do shared credits work?
Credits belong to the household, not one person. Creating a story uses one credit. We use your monthly credits first, then any extra purchased credits. Purchased credits do not expire while your subscription is active, and each story records who created it and for which child.
Is my child's photo and data safe?
Yes. A photo is only used to create a consistent caricature character, stored privately, and can be deleted at any time. We require a parent account and consent, filter content for age-appropriateness, and never show ads or create public profiles. See our Privacy Policy for full detail.
Which notifications will each parent get?
The parent who created a story always hears when it is ready, plus any failures or retries. The other parent gets "story ready" by default and can turn it off. Notifications never reveal the private topic of a story, and children never receive them.
What devices are supported?
Amber's App runs on iPhone, iPad and Android phones and tablets. Each parent can be signed in on several devices at once, with independent notification settings per device.
Can I cancel any time?
Absolutely. The account owner can cancel from their account settings at any time. You keep access until the end of your current billing period. See our Terms for details.
