Delete in the app (recommended)
Only the household owner can delete the account.
- Open Amber's App and sign in as the account owner.
- Go to Settings (bottom navigation).
- Tap Delete household account.
- Read the warning, type DELETE, and confirm.
Deletion is immediate. You and any second parent on the household will be signed out and will not be able to sign in again with the same credentials.
Delete by email
If you cannot access the app, email privacy@ambersapp.com from the address on your account. Include:
- Subject line: Delete my Amber's App account
- The email address you used to register
- Confirmation that you want permanent deletion
We will verify you are the account owner and complete deletion within 30 days (usually sooner).
What is deleted
When your household account is deleted, we delete or irreversibly anonymise:
- Parent account details (name, email, login credentials)
- Child profiles (names, optional birth year)
- Stories, illustrations and story library content
- Optional photos used for character caricatures
- Voice-related reading-practice data stored for your family
- Household credits and in-app subscription access
What may be kept
- Billing records required by law or your app store (handled under store policies)
- Security and fraud-prevention logs for a limited period
- Anonymised analytics that cannot identify you or your child
Delete some data without deleting your account
You do not need to delete your whole account to remove individual items:
- Child profile: Family → Manage children → archive/remove
- Story: remove from your library in the app
- Photo or character: delete from Characters in the app

Subscriptions & billing
Deleting your Amber's App account does not automatically cancel a recurring subscription billed through your device. Cancel your Family Plan subscription in your device's subscription settings before or after deleting your account to avoid future charges.
